Skamber I used to attend a Yoga class on a regular basis when I was in the Air Force, it was free and easily assesable to me. Anyways since I moved out here to Colorado Springs last August I haven't found (really looked) a Yoga class to attend. Any suggestions?

LadyLisa I haven't done Yoga in an actual class setting, I have learned from doing the video series called yoga now. If you have done yoga in a class is it better than doing the video.

JimB This morning I was going to get in a couple of hours on my internship at the gym, but when I got there I found out that both of my mentor's clients that I was going to observe him with had cancelled. He suggested that I spend some of the time getting some practice training him. It occurred to me that I could teach him some yoga exercises that I use in my warmups. So I spent a half hour teaching him, and he seemed to genuinely enjoy the stretches. An interesting role reversal!

JimB I started taking a yoga class on my podiatrist's advice. I'm being treated for very bad bunions (inevitably I'll have to have surgery on them someday) After I'd been working out for a while, running on the treadmill was causing me to have serious hip flexion. For a while, my podiatrist sent me to a physical therapist, but when I maxed out on the number of sessions my insurance would cover, the doctor suggested I take a yoga class. As it happened, my gym (World Gym in Paramus) offered a yoga class on Friday mornings at a time when I could go before work, and since I was already a gym member I could take all the classes I wanted at no extra cost. As it turned out, I love it! The stretches feel great...literally just what the doctor ordered. The instructor, Karen, is great! Beautiful person, inside and out, and she creates the perfect mood. I believe she operates a studio in Glen Rock. I always feel better equipped to face the work day after I've been to the class. So I guess that qualifies me as a yoga addict!
