Description
A group for all of us who are or were in the Army or any military service.
We who have served know the training and conditions we must endure, and I believe a large part of my fitness and love for fitness came from my military background.
Let us discuss what we have learned in this group.

nlevandier Served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 6 years until medically released from a shoulder injury. Upon release I was finally given the opportunity to rehabilitate and strength train properly, and my shoulder (and overall body) are stronger and fitter then they ever were while in the army - all the red tape surrounding my injury with respect to working out while I was in the military kept me out of the gym from fear of losing my medical pension.

When I was handed my release papers, it was by a 300 + pounder who probably never cared or took his job seriously one day of his life...well maybe except for payday. Anyways, it was probably at the point that I promised myself to never be anything less than above the military average in terms of fitness.

flyor64 Hi. I served in the Army for 13 yrs all over the place. PT was and still is a big part of my life because of the Army. It literally saved me when I was an 18 yr old slob...
